OPI DS Original

I’ve only got two OPI DS polishes in my stash and I love them both SO much!

OPI DS Original

Seeing as Spring has definitely arrived, I thought I’d pull out the holographic polishes and have a play.

DS Original is a lavendar pink with a scattered holographic effect. I did two coats thought it could probably have been better with three but I’m so lazy.  As always, due to me being clumsy, I always top it off with Seche Vite before I go and ruin another mani.

It applied easily with no problems at all and dried pretty fast too.

It was really difficult to capture the really pretty holographic effect so you’ll just have to take my word for it – party on your nails!

OPI DS Original - Natural light

OPI Melon of Troy

I love the name of this nail polish 🙂

OPI Melon of Troy

OPI Melon of Troy is a frosty, slightly shimmer apricot shade. Being a frost, it means the finish is kind of streaky but it’s nothing I can’t deal with.

OPI DS Signature

DS Signature by OPI is undisputedly one of the prettiest nail polish I own. EVER.

Artificial light

It has a light muted pink/rose base with beautiful multicoloured holo fused in.

Natural light

The application on this was a dream. It was smooth, with no running of the colour, & was easily opaque in 1 coat but I applied 2 coats because I am such a noob at painting mah nails.

Natural light

In the shade, it is very muted & depending on the light, you can sort of see the holo.

Natural light. Bam! Pretty holo.

But as soon as it’s in direct sunlight, the holo comes out to play 🙂

How gorgeous is it?

OPI Guy Meets Gal-veston

Hello everyone 🙂

Sorry the lack of posts. I’ve been working on my final assessment for uni for this semester (apart from the exams) & hadn’t been able to find the time to blog.

But I have some time form now until exams so I’ve got a few posts lined up 🙂

First – OPI Guy Meets Gal-veston. This was part of my large (to me!) nail polish haul on the weekend (more about that later..). This nail polish was recently released by OPI with the Texas collection. I lovethe colour but I think due to its “sorbet” finish, I found it really sheer. This was with 3 coats & you could still see my nail line 😦

OPI Jade Is The New Black

I purchased this a while ago from Sarah over at Kiss & Makeup. I was so glad I found it for a cheap price as I’ve been looking for it for a while.

Jade Is The New Black was released as part of OPI’s Hong Kong collection this year. Such a pretty emerald green 🙂
